Having delivered multiple mental health and wellbeing courses over the years, for the last three years I’ve solely advocated i-act (for positive mental health and wellbeing) training. Mental Health Training
There are a number of points that raise this course above others in the field for me including:
🔔 It’s a global programme delivering uniformed steps without the need for country specific licencing.
🔔 A strong focus on proactive self care with easy to follow and implement first responder steps
🔔 It’s accredited for three years – no need for ‘bolt on’ questionnaires etc
🔔 Delivery can be flexible – one chunk or smaller bitesized sessions over a week
🔔 Levels for those managing teams and those not
🔔 Robust manual for onward learning
🔔 Evidenced based
But there is another, powerful point i-act (for positive mental health and wellbeing) training. Mental Health Training has above others for me which is the collaboration, sharing innovative ideas and discussions across the global Instructor community.
Sharing knowledge with peers across the globe enriches the delivery to country specific delegates on the same course.
Samantha Fiorini, Assoc CIPD is trailblazing mental health and wellbeing knowledge in #Bahrain. Learning from her what the situation is like ‘on the ground’ and sharing some thoughts and ideas empowers my knowledge.
Instructors work with their clients to deliver a bespoke solution to meet their business needs. This might include case study discussions, how to validate, give strength and reassurance through empathetic words when listening in a first responder situation or something else.
The world is becoming a much smaller place. Most countries will have team members from across the globe which makes selecting the right training which has a global Instructor community and therefore local knowledge so much more powerful.
