Creating Neurodiversity Allies in the Workplace

Creating an inclusive workplace isn’t just a manager’s responsibility. Every interaction between colleagues contributes to whether people feel understood, valued and able to do their best work.

This CPD-certified 90-minute workshop draws on over 20 years of workplace coaching and my experience as a certified ADHD coach. It equips employees with the confidence and practical skills to better understand neurodivergence, communicate effectively and become supportive allies to their colleagues.

Many people want to help but worry about saying the wrong thing or unintentionally causing offence. This workshop provides practical guidance that helps employees replace uncertainty with confidence, leading to stronger relationships, better teamwork and a more inclusive workplace culture.

The workshop covers:

  • Understanding neurodivergence and raising awareness
  • Recognising behaviours that may be linked to neurodivergence rather than making assumptions
  • Building confidence to start supportive conversations
  • Understanding and respecting workplace adjustments
  • Appreciating the challenges of working in environments designed primarily for neurotypical thinking
  • Common characteristics associated with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Dyscalculia, including when more than one neurodivergent condition is present
  • Practical ways every colleague can contribute to an inclusive workplace
  • Everyday communication strategies that benefit the whole team

Why this matters

When employees understand one another better, collaboration improves, misunderstandings reduce and teams become more inclusive. The communication skills developed during this workshop are valuable not only in the workplace but in everyday life.

Creating a culture where colleagues feel safe to ask questions, offer support and appreciate different ways of thinking helps improve wellbeing, engagement and team performance, while reducing the time managers spend resolving avoidable misunderstandings.

This workshop complements my Learning to Action™ Model and can be delivered as a standalone session or as part of a wider implementation programme that embeds lasting behavioural change across your organisation.

Training builds awareness. Implementation delivers lasting change.
