It’s also Alice in Wonderland day!
Why is that of interest to me? It’s made me reflect on the story Lewis Carroll wrote and the importance of imagination.
Imagination is on in children 24/7. It’s automatic. Yet, somehow, it feels as thought this dims as we grow.
As adults, there is so much ‘noise’ in our daily life, our minds can sometimes feel like they are overflowing.
The power of taking moments of mind calmness. Just letting the mind ‘be’. Disrupting the flow of constant thoughts in our minds and make them actively wander is awesome. Everything seems much clearer.
Often as I’ve taken my mind out of automatic pilot and made it focus on nothing, my imagination presents solutions in thoughts and ideas that I never saw before!
